According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM), the composition of the population aged 65 and above (elderly) will increase from 7.2% in 2022 to 7.4% in 2023, reaching 2.5 million people, indicating that Malaysia is experiencing an aging population2.VeriSee AMD can identify high-risk AMD patients by providing referral recommendations and the screening accuracy is 95%, to assist healthcare provider in conducting preliminary screenings for high-risk AMD patients aged 50 and above. The approval of medical device certification in Malaysia signifies that Acer Medical’s AI software can officially enter the Malaysian market, working together with local medical institutions to help patients seize opportunities for early detection and treatment.
