Acer Medical recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with two public hospitals in Thailand to install its AI-assisted VeriSee DR diagnostic software for diabetic retinopathy (DR) that assists in identifying high-risk DR patients that may require immediate treatment. Acer Medical extended its support to the Wiang Pa Pao Hospital and Fort Ingkhayutthaborihan Hospital by introducing its flagship ophthalmic AI-assisted diagnostic solution for diabetic retinopathy. This adds to the growing number of hospitals in Thailand that have integrated the AI solution into their practice to help increase DR diagnostic efficiency and improve the quality of eye care for diabetic patients in the country.
Currently, the VeriSee DR’s technology has been adopted by more than 150 medical institutions including nearly 80% of medical centers, in Taiwan. Since its launch in 2020, the VeriSee DR has also been installed in other hospitals around Asia such as Thailand, India, and the Philippines.
Acer hopes to further promote its medical AI diagnostics solutions to the international market to help physicians improve the accuracy of eye treatment and reduce the risk of blindness among diabetic patients around the world.
